Hearing Tests

Audiometry (Pure Tone/Speech/Special/EHF)

Audiometry tests are done to detect the hearing level of a person or determine the cause, type, degree, site of hearing loss of a person with hearing impairment as well as his capability of speech understanding. These tests help to determine possible ear related disorders treatments & fitting suitable hearing aid.

Tympanometry (Single/Multi Frequency/ETF/Reflex Decay)

Tympanometry provides a way, along with a physical exam, for doctors to diagnose and monitor problems in the middle ear. This test is done to analyse the ear drum, eustachian tube & middle ear status.

Brain Stem Evoked Response Audiometry (BERA)/Auditory Steady State Response Test (ASSR)

Above tests are done to determine hearing threshold of an infant or a person with behavioral problem who can not co operate with routine audiometry test. BERA test also help to find the intigrity of inner ear & auditory nerve up to mid brain. ASSR test help to determine the estimated hearing threshold at different frequencies which in terms help to fitting proper hearing aid.

Oto-Acoustic Emission Test

This test is mainly done to detect if hearing loss is present or not by. This test is very safe, painless & take very short time & can be done at new born baby to Old age person.

Balance Tests

Any disorder in our balance organ (Otolith organs, Semicircular canal including vestibular nerve & its central connection) can cause Vertigo, Dizziness, Imbalance sensation. Tests such as Electronystagmography (ENG), Videonystagmography (VNG), Caloric Test, Vestibular Evoked Myogenic Potential Test (cVEMP & oVEMP), Video Head Impulse Test (vHIT), Electro-Cochleography (E.Coch.G), Cranio-Corpography (CCG) are used to determine if any pathology is present in balance organ or Central nervous system of brain.

Tinnitus Retraining Therapy (TRT)

Tinnitus is not a disease, but a symptom that can result from a wide range of underlying causes. Abnormally phantom loud sounds(tone or noise) occur in the ear canal for even the briefest period (but usually with some duration). Above therapy can help to reduce the intensity and duration of tinnitus and very much helpful for the patient suffering from tinnitus.

Swallowing & Voice Assessment (Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing & Stroboscopy)
